2011 a year in review | Gig Harbor Portrait Photographer

I am so blessed!!  I love being able to use my camera to capture a moment just for YOU!

2011 was so much fun behind the camera.  I was able to photograph families that I’ve photographed for the last 3 or so years… and I was able to meet some new amazing people this past year too.  I went out side my comfort zone and got to photograph a couple of brand new babies and a small emotional wedding (I was even crying).  I had the most fun, photographing the 1/2 dozen or so High School Seniors!  I hope that I will get to meet and photograph you or someone special to you in 2012 but before then, here’s a look back at some of my favorites from each of the sessions in 2011… Enjoy~Christi

For those of you that haven’t seen some of the kitty Christmas photos and comments over on facebook, our kitty LOVED the Christmas tree this year.  She crawled under it, climbed up it and pretty much took it over as hers.  Well today we took it down and everytime John would try to take it apart, she would run up it.  Here are a couple of shots of her trying to “save” her tree house:)  Enjoy~Christi

I almost feel bad for her, I think she’s going to miss her hiding spot and personal fort:)

Great shoots! I love these photos. Although, I do feel bad for the kitty. My cat is sad too, she loved the tree. She would slep under it. Never climbed it though…thankfully!

I think John should get her a little tree of her own. She was fun to watch. Now that the kids are grown she’s my entertainment and my photo model :)

Happy New Year Everyone!!

I’m at it again… I’m going to try for the 365 photo project one more time.  I may do it a little different this year.  I’m going to try to take a picture a day but not stress about posting everyday and maybe sometimes the photos will just be from my phone, last year was too stressful and I gave up.  I’ll try to sit down and post at least once a week for the entire week of photos.  We’ll see how it goes this year.

This week sometime I’m going to post a collage from 2011 photo sessions so stay tuned.

Yesterday we spent the evening on the Mountain tubing with friends.  I wish we would’ve gone up a little earlier so we had more light but here are a couple shots.

I hope that you all have a great 2012.  Please feel free to leave comments on any of the post to let me know what you think.  Check back often ~ Christi

Thanks Stacy – The sledding area is up at Snoqualmie Pass. Make sure you go online and get your tickets before you go up, they sell out and it’s a long drive :)

In the mood to shoot | Gig Harbor Portrait Photographer

I get on this computer and start looking at other photographers and it really puts me in the mood to get out and shoot.  My poor boys got the bad end of that mood today:).  It was freezing so we were only out there for about 10 minutes, but I got my little photo fix and some good shots of them.

Little Ms. “M”

Wow… it’s been almost a month since I’ve posted anything to the blog.  My daily photo challenge pretty much went out the window around August, but today I had a session so I thought I’d post a preview.  I got to hang out with my cousin and his wife today to shoot their little one!!  She was such a doll for most of the shoot and she really likes chewing on her tongue right now.  I love the tongue shots because I know how quickly this passes.  I look back at my own little boy and cherish the pictures I have of all tongue:)  Thanks so much mom and dad for letting me capture your little one today and it was great to see you guys!!
